Hi,
New user. It took me awhile to find the key signature setting. Found it. But when inputting chords on a new song, in Fmajor, many of the chords in the tune are automatically deleted or changed. Chords needed are Ma7, mi7, Dom9, 7b5, 7b9. A bit jazzy. Using Windows 10. Basic level of BiaB. Can't figure out what is happening and how to correct. It's happened in other songs using simpler 3 note chords, too.

Only workaround I've found is to input with the Chord Builder. But find it gets in the way, having to do it for every chord.

Any ideas?

Are you just typing in the chord names into the chords view? Or are you manually editing the chords in the notation or PianoRoll?

If you are typing in the chord names, they need to have the exact spelling that Band-in-a-Box recognizes. If you type in a standard chord name, but with an alternative spelling, then it will be automatically erased. A full list of recognized chords can be found here: https://www.pgmusic.com/tutorial_chordlist.htm

If you are editing the notes in the Notation or Piano Roll, then the tracks will need to be frozen afterwards to prevent these changes from being overwritten the next time you re-generate the tracks. https://youtu.be/yTccQDqgiPA
Thanks Chantelle. I see that you have to specify chord abbreviations exactly. Disappearing major 7ths were my first clue.

Thanks for the list.
